21 Day Blogging Challenge with David Wood. (Day 18)
As you all know, at least I hope, David Wood, the Co-founder of the Empower Network blogging platform, which I am also an affiliate, launched us an interesting challenge that consists of blogging non-stop during 21 days in a row.
This challenge officially began December 29, 2014 and ends on 21 January.
I chose to take part to the challenge for reasons I explain here. Thus, during this period, I will be publishing a new article on my blog whose sole purpose is to bring you value.
So why should you always focus on money producing activities?
Unless you’re running your online activity for fun, which means that you’re not intending to get any revenue from it, you should consider your blog as a real business.
The other day I was reading a post from John Chow, one of the top earners in this industry, and I was really astonished to see how he treats his blog.
There’s any doubt in his mind that his blog is a real and serious business for him and he runs it just as any entrepreneur would do with any normal business out there.
The reason number one why many online entrepreneurs fail is because they haven’t yet realized that their blog was a real business.
So if you really think that your blog is your business, starting today, you must take daily massive actions if you want to really get the results you’ve been waiting for for so long.
What does focus on money producing activities mean?
This means that each end every day, you must perform a certain task that will contribute to grow your business.
Examples of money producing activities you can focus on:
- List building
- Email marketing
- Video marketing
- General marketing
- Content creation
- Content promotion
- Traffic development
- Social media interaction with potential clients
- Paid advertisement
These money producing activities are the essential elements that will help you create a sustainable and predictable income.
It takes a lot of discipline and determination to focus on money producing activities
To accomplish that, distraction must be banned from your life when you’re working.
That is to say, instead of spending hours watching YouTube videos just for fun, you must focus on how to leverage the power of YouTube to drive more traffic to your products and develop your sales.
Instead of chatting on Facebook overnight, you must learn how to leverage the power of Social Medias to develop your brand, create new connections, gain most costumers and make more money at the end of the day.
Focus on developing and promoting one product at a time
As an online entrepreneur, whether you’re an affiliate for a Network Marketing Company or you’re promoting your own products, you must always commit to promoting one and only one product at a time.
One of the most dangerous things you can do is to start promoting one product and when you don’t see your first results, you jump on something else.
This is one of the biggest mistakes many people make.
They never stay long enough with a single product or program. They want to see results overnight and when nothing happens after a couple of weeks, they give up and run on advertising another so called magic program.
Making money online takes time and dedication.
You should not be running after all these “get rich in 2 days” scams that won’t do you any good. If you find a good product to promote, stay focused on it. Work hard and sooner or later, you’ll be re-compensated.
I have a few years of experience on Internet Marketing and for years I made exactly the same mistakes than I describe in this post.
Without a shadow of a doubt, I can say that promoting one program or one product or service at a time is the most effective thing you can do to take your business to the next level and make passive income.
