You’ve probably heard here and there how thousands of people are using Internet to make money with affiliate marketing.
Would you like to be one of them?
If no, why not?
Seriously, just think about it! There are literarily tons of people just like you who are taking the advantage of what Internet has to offer to build a residual passive income while having fun at the same time.
To do so, all they need is a PC, a good internet connection and a proven system that works and that they can use without having to spend too much time in coding or putting together a complicated website.
In fact, you can start your very own Internet business and work from home just with a simple blog like this one you’re reading right now.
Don’t get me wrong though. I’m not trying to sell you the idea that you can get rich overnight just by posting a few contents on a blog. It takes much more time and hard work than that to actually see good results.
What I’m trying to explain you is that a simple blog can make you money but there is a game plan you must follow if you want to generate serious money online.
This game plan is called: blogging for money.
Here is how you can play the blogging for money game, if you’re still interested, of course.
First thing, first. You need to have a clear idea of what you’d like to blog about. You probably have some hobbies or passions as anyone. Put all your ideas together and make a decision. This will help you eliminate what you don’t like from what you actually like.
If you still don’t know what passionate you and thus don’t know what to blog about, you can go on forums and the major social media networks to see what people are talking about and what are the actual trends.
You’ve found a serious topic and would like to start blogging about it, now what’s net?
It’s time to put your blog together. If you’ve never created a blog before, this can seem impressive but it’s not. There are lots of programs out there that can help you build a professional looking blog or website without having to touch a single line of code. You can use Joomla, WordPress, Blogger or other free tools yet very powerful.
The idea of this article is not to teach you how to create a blog. So I’ll invite you to take some time and search on Google terms like “How to create a blog”. You can also go on YouTube where you’ll find tons of valuable tutorials on the subject.
Your blog must give value to your future readers. So choose a professional theme and install all the widgets and plug-ins you’ll need to manage it properly. Create your “About Me page and Contact page” so that people know who you are and what your blog is about.
Once again don’t get intimidated since all these resources are free of charge and you’ll find all the information online on where and how to install and use them.
Is your blog ready?
If you’ve done everything correctly and that you’re blog is online and running, the next step is to share with the world what you have to say.
Start by publishing some good quality and unique content based on your passions or whatever it is you want to talk about.
What ever you choose to talk about, always try to give value to your readers by providing them answers or solutions to their problems. Just be imaginative!
In the beginning you can publish 2 or 3 articles per day to let the search engines like Google, Yahoo or Bing get fresh content from your blog. Then posting once per day would just be fine. Promote your articles and put in place a backliking strategy to better rank your blog on the search engines.
Use videos and attractive images to illustrate your blog.
You think that you’re not a copywriter and don’t know how to write a good content? Don’t worry! You can outsource it and let other people write your content for you. Go on Fivrr.com, elance.com or odesk and find writers specialized in your niche.
Final step but not the last: monetization
Now that you have your blog in place and that you’re getting visitors, it’s time to start monetizing it. Internet and the affiliate marketing industry have a very large range of things you can promote. No matter what niche you’re involved in, you can find pretty anything you want from digital products to services and physical products.
To find these products, you can open an account with any affiliate company such as Clickbank, Amazon, Commission Junction and much more. Once your account is valid, pick a product depending on your niche. Start writing articles or reviews about the product to tell the people why they should buy it or subscribe and so on.
There are many ways to promote a product. Obviously, the more time you’ll spend working on your blog and giving valuable information, the more visitors you’ll attract and the more money you’ll make.
