21 Day Blogging Challenge with David Wood. (Day 4)
As you all know, at least I hope, David Wood, the Co-founder of the Empower Network blogging platform, which I am also an affiliate, launched us an interesting challenge that consists of blogging non-stop during 21 days in a row.
This challenge officially began December 29, 2014 and ends on 21 January. I chose to take part to the challenge for reasons I explain here. Thus, during this period, I will be publishing a new article on my blog whose sole purpose is to bring you value.
Yesterday I posted part 1 of this article and you can find it here in case you’ve missed. This is part 2.
3: Be more productive and less consumer
Do you know the mistake that most of the people who start an online business make that completely inhibits their growth and productivity?
It is their habits to always want to learn, learn, learn … without never putting into practice what they learn.
These people spend most of their time learning how to do what they learned that they become consumers and not the people who produce results.
My goal is to become a top producer, not an eternal consumer.
Producing is what will change your business. And the best way to learn is to produce while correcting your imperfections along the way.
The idea here, as Tim Ferriss raised in his book “The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich (Expanded and Updated)” is to divide your time according to the following concept: spend 20 % of your time to learn and 80% to produce.
Producing is what will bring you results, make you more money to live the life of your dreams and to get your financial and material independence.
If you recognize yourself in these people, from today I encourage you to become a producer, not a mere consumer of information.
4: Get out of my comfort zone
Getting out of his comfort zone means somehow abandoning the practices and habits in which we were locked up but that do not give us any result.
Often we adopt these habits by laziness, fear or lack of knowledge.
And indeed, if you want to achieve significant results this year, you’ll have to learn to leave your comfort zone and change your habits.
For some reasons, there are people who do not like to take the action and think money and success will magically fall on them without doing anything.
To see the results with your online business, you have to pick them up.
So make a list of all the things that prevent you to grow your business and change the way you deal with them.
For example, if you like to sleep a lot and it hurts your productivity, get up earlier and spend more time working on your projects rather than sleeping.
If you like watching too much television, decrease your screen time and work to improve your marketing advantage to produce quality content for your blog or your website for example…
I know a lot of people have an incredible fear of being faced with a camera. Today, video marketing is one of the activities that generate the most sales online.
Even the largest companies use that marketing strategy to reach more and more customers worldwide.
So if making a video scares you, find a way to overcome that fear and go, go, go.
This year I intend to do a lot more videos to promote my products and make my sites get to the next level.
Will you do the same?
5: Investing more in myself
In 2014, more than ever, I invested in myself to give myself every chance to get results with my online projects.
And in 2015, I intend to do much more.
Investing in itself allows us to acquire knowledge and the know-how to grow our business without being too left behind.
The world is moving more and more quickly, and this is even more true in the field of internet.
When we do not renew our own knowledge and that we do not control the latest tools and technologies that surround our business, we may soon find ourselves behind our competitors.
Investing in itself implies a financial cost and often a lot of sacrifice and personal investment.
But you have no choice but to be able to pay the price to stay in the race.
For example, in November 2014, I attended an international conference on marketing “The Millionaires Traffic Summit 2014 “, organized in London by Shaqir Hussyin.
I had to invest a certain amount of my own pocket and take my own time to participate in this conference.
But I did get involved because I knew the benefits that I would get for my business.
That conference brought me tremendously on all fronts and I met so many influential people there such as Mike Dillard, Tom Beal and many more that I decided to attend more conferences in 2015.
Here is a pic of me with Mike Dillard…
Et voila! I can do an entire lists of things to improve for 2015 an exceptional year for my online activities, but I think you get the idea.
The past is the past. We cannot change it. But since 2015 is just beggining, we still have the power to change our future.
Do you think that you can do it?
Of course yes!!!
So if like me you feel that you have not done everything in your power to become more productive and achieve more results with your business, I invite you to take a step back and think about how you can change what has not worked for you last year so that it works better this year.
Go ahead! Do it now…
To your success
