Why having a mentor can help you create a successful business on the fast track

21 Day Blogging Challenge with David Wood. (Day 13)

As you all know, at least I hope, David Wood, the Co-founder of the Empower Network blogging platform, which I am also an affiliate, launched us an interesting challenge that consists of blogging non-stop during 21 days in a row.

This challenge officially began December 29, 2014 and ends on 21 January.

I chose to take part to the challenge for reasons I explain here. Thus, during this period, I will be publishing a new article on my blog whose sole purpose is to bring you value.

Creating a successful blog can really change your life, especially if you learn from people who have been in the making money with iPas2industry before you.

Each time I start a new blog, whether in French or in English like this one you’re reading now, I always do my best to try to see what others are doing so that I know exactly what topic I can talk about on my own blogs.

Having an interesting topic that can help people solve their problems is an important factor to consider if you want to attract new visitors on your blog.

The more visitors you’ll get, the more they will talk about your products or buy your offers.

Interesting, right?

But how do you get these interesting topic?

Internet is a wide open space where people from all horizon share what they do and what works for them so that we can model them. They literally share their experiences and their success with us, allowing those who want to start online to avoid the pitfalls and get started on the fast track.

See! Creating a successful blog takes lots of time and also hard work. Many people who start a new blog end up by abandoning it in the first six months of its existence because they did not take these important parameters into account.

Finding the best hosting, the best domain name, the best marketing strategy to drive traffic and writing content that gives value and makes people want to keep coming back on your blog can be a very challenging task if you don’t know how to do it properly.

So how can you do it properly? Is there a magic formula?

In my opinion, no! The magic formula for creating a successful blog does not exist. In order to make a blog appealing, there are too many factors and it depends on too many things such as your experiences, your niche, your marketing strategies, your product or services and so on.

Over the years of blogging though, I noticed one particular thing that almost all the successful bloggers and online marketers had in common.

Do you want to know what that one thing is?

I bet yes…

Well, it’s a mentor!

You’ve read it right… a mentor.

Having a mentor is like having a business partner, or if you want, some kind of big brother who’s role is to take you by the hand and take you from zero to hero in your business.

Whether it’s Pat Flynn; the brilliant guy behind the Smart Passive Income Blog”, David Wood; the co-founder of Empower Network, Michelle Pescosolido; the Facebook Queen or Shaqir Hussyin; the Self-made millionaire blogger, they all have or had, at a certain point of their life, a mentor, that is to say, someone who had been in the industry for years and who has shown them the “How To”.

Having a mentor is very important because as you can understand, a mentor is someone much more experienced than you.

A mentor is like a guide whose mission is to show you all the strategies that he applied himself to succeed in his business.

So all you’ll have to do is to look over his shoulder and repeat what he did to get the same results as him.

Yet it is clear that for various reasons, many people who go online are still unaware of this.

They prefer to work alone in their corner thinking they can do it alone.

This is completely wrong!

Working alone, with no one to accompany you in your online business, can very quickly lead you to failure.

I have myself a few very experimented mentors I work with or that I follow to grow my online business, such as Vick Strizheus; the traffic guy, David Wood or Rob Fore.

Modeling what these guys do online is very helpful for my own business and I encourage you to think seriously about what they can do for you too.

A mentor can give you advice for free on what what works and what to avoid.

For instance, as being a Big Idea Mastermind member, We often have  private members only training on traffic generation with Vick himself.

Here is a sreen shot of our next free training with Vick…

Webinar with Vick

Sometimes he would aslo bring on the webinar some of his successful students who had started from zero and who were now making 6 figure income to show the newbies how they did it.

See the importance of having a memntor?

So if you created your blog and you have the impression that it does not take off, it is not because what you are doing is bad or that your products or services do not interest anyone.

This may be simply because you do not know how to do it.

To change that and to finally take your business or blog to the next level, you need a mentor.

How to find a mentor?

Start by looking in your niche and see who the most influential people are.

What do they do?

How does it work?

What kind of results do they get?

Once you have answered these questions, you can contact them directly via the contact form on their website and see how you can work together, or you can just watch what they do every day and try to reproduce the same thing with your own personality.

Since the same effects produce the same results, it won’t take you long to start seeing the same results if you do it seriously.

PS: I use my Network of Blogs to make money online and I want you to do the same thing too. If you don’t have your own blog yet, get a done-for-you blog here and start blogging today.

To your success
